Synygy Successfully Completes SAS70 Type II Assessment

Synygy Business Processes, Business Process Management Services, and Technology Controls All “Best Practice” Certified

Chester, Pa., January 25, 2008 – Synygy, Inc., a recognized authority on sales performance management, announced today that it has successfully undergone an independent SAS70 Type II level examination and certification of the company´s internal controls and processes—the first and only provider of sales compensation and sales performance management solutions to receive such certification of its software hosting services, process management services, and internal controls.

SAS70 (Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70) is a set of internationally recognized auditing standards developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that is used by service auditors to assess the internal controls of service organizations. In addition to certification of Synygy´s controls, Synygy´s successful SAS70 Type II examination specifically certified the accuracy and security of Synygy´s business processes involved in the provision of software hosting services and process management services, including:

  • change management processes
  • incentive computation methodology and processes
  • data integration, cleansing, and validation processes
  • report creation and validation processes
  • payroll file generation and validation processes

The strong findings in the SAS70 Type II validates Synygy´s commitment not just to ensuring environmental safeguards and logical, physical, and change controls, but also the veracity of its client-supporting business processes associated with the provision of software hosting services and process management services.

Synygy previously completed a SAS70 Type I examination in December 2006. The SAS70 Type I report assesses the service organization´s controls at a specific point in time (e.g., December 1, 2006). An SAS70 Type II report includes results of detailed testing of the controls over a minimum six month period (e.g., June 1, 2007 to November 30, 2007).
