Synygy Releases New Version of SYNYGY PORTAL™
On-Demand SPM Module Allows Non-Technical Administrators to Create Custom Web-Based Applications without the Need for, or Cost of, Programmers

This latest release is part of a series of Version 11 updates that feature a complete rewrite of Synygy’s on-demand SPM applications.
SYNYGY PORTAL allows non-technical administrators—rather than expensive programmers or third-party consultants—to create and maintain custom web-based applications for salespeople, sales managers, sales executives, and sales analysts. The module includes the ability to integrate content from all Synygy modules and from external applications, organize content uniquely for each user or user group, design custom home pages uniquely for each user or user group, and define optional certificates that require users to view and agree to notices before viewing reports.
Four role-specific web-based applications that are crucial to effectively managing sales performance are easily configured in SYNYGY PORTAL:
SALESPERSON PORTAL
Using the fully integrated SYNYGY PORTAL module, salespeople are able to:
- receive sales compensation, sales performance, and other sales reports and analyses, the viewing of which is tracked
- use interactive ‘what-if’ calculators to see how selling efforts translate into potential earnings
- receive and confirm acceptance of sales compensation plans and other documents
- review objectives, objectives scores, and manager comments on objective performance
- review and request adjustments to assigned quotas
- access and review sales transactions and other data, including real-time data (based on data access rules)
- submit inquiries on inaccurate data, earnings, or reports, and view status of resolution
SALES MANAGER PORTAL
Sales managers are able to use SYNYGY PORTAL to:
- review performance of individual subordinates
- analyze performance across all subordinates, including rankings and trends
- set, review, and score objectives of subordinates, comment on objective performance, and see impact of scoring on budgets
- review and take action upon inquiries from subordinates regarding disputes, quota changes, data adjustments, and other issues
- review and make adjustments to quotas of subordinates
- review and correct errors in data
SALES EXECUTIVE PORTAL
With SYNYGY PORTAL, sales executives are able to:
- analyze sales force performance
- analyze plan performance and plan effectiveness
- analyze costs relative to budgets
- analyze forecasted sales and costs of sales
- analyze geographic distribution of salesperson performance
SALES ANALYST PORTAL
Using the easily-configured SYNYGY PORTAL module, sales performance and sales compensation analysts are able to:
- review results of automated data validations and correct data problems
- review and take action on disputes and inquiries from the sales force
- research and correct data issues
- create reports and ad-hoc analyses using any data in the data repository
- review reports and analyses to research and address inquiries from the sales force
- define and maintain processes for managing data, participants, plans, quotas, objectives, and reports
- model plan changes and migrate changes to the live system
