Synygy Announces Q4 and Year End Results
Chester, Pa., February 16, 2010—Synygy Inc., the largest and most experienced provider of sales performance management (SPM) solutions, today reported positive results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ending December 31, 2009, extending its record of continuous success as the company enters its third decade.
“I am extremely pleased with our performance in 2009, which is especially impressive given the poor economy worldwide and the declining revenues of some competitors,” said Mark A. Stiffler, president and CEO of Synygy. “We came through the year stronger than ever, making investments in sales and marketing, growing headcount, and posting profits every quarter.”
Spate of year-end agreements
Synygy closed out the year strongly in the win column, including multi-year, million-dollar-plus agreements with numerous new clients, including:
- a leading North American distributor of paper, packaging, and facility supplies—for an on-demand sales compensation management (SCM) solution hosted at Synygy’s data center
- a specialty pharmaceuticals company, a national staffing solutions firm, and the U.S. division of a global pharmaceuticals company—for on-demand SCM solutions and plan management and other SPM outsourcing services
- a top broadband services provider—for an on-premises SCM software solution
Significant business expansion
Synygy also solidly finished out the year on the existing client front, with significant renewals and business expansions with a very diverse set of clients, including:
- a national broad line food service distributor—for a renewal that includes a switch from an on-premises to an on-demand deployment (using the same software, without having to do a re-implementation)
- a leading media and marketing services company—for a five-year renewal
- a global leader in medical technology—for a three-year renewal
- a leading provider of global business news and information services—for a contract expansion
- one of Synygy’s longest tenured accounts—for a contract expansion
Numerous new product releases
On the software side, Synygy focused on releasing numerous sales process management workflow applications, including ones for managing:
- account assignments—including the correction of unassigned or incorrectly assigned orders or accounts to salespeople, and the communication of such changes
- store information—including the alignment of sales representatives to store locations, the management of store hierarchies, and the application of changes to incentive compensation plan calculations
- participant hierarchy and eligibility data—including the management of changes to reporting hierarchies, incentive compensation plan eligibility, and the routing and approval of changes
- dealer information—including the management of changes to sales credentials, dealer contracts, licenses, commission plan parameters, and other dealer profile information
Other accomplishments
Other significant fourth quarter achievements included:
- a significant expansion of our new sales force selling on-demand software and plan management outsourcing solutions to companies with 100 to 300 salespeople
- the release of new dashboard, reporting, and analytics functionality that helps salespeople and sales managers better understand their performance
- the release of an automated process that uniquely integrates SAP data feeds into Synygy’s SPM applications without external pre-processing, special plug-ins, or third-party tools
- a partnership with Maritz, a global leader in the incentive and loyalty rewards industries, to develop and market a comprehensive sales compensation solution that includes administration of total compensation, management of incentive compensation, and tracking and fulfillment of rewards and recognition programs
- the publication of Strategic Sales Incentive Plan Design and Governance in the Pharmaceutical Industry, the results of the fifth annual survey conducted with Towers Perrin
- a partnership with Health Market Science, the leading source of healthcare provider data and advanced analytics, to market joint sales compensation and commercial analytics solutions for the healthcare industry
- a 2009 Performance Leadership Award from Ventana Research for the significant business process improvements Synygy’s client, McKesson Provider Technologies, realized using Synygy’s software and services for its SCM initiative
